Pujaris

Brahmana priests in the temple are called pujaris.  They serve the Deity forms of the Lord in many ways including putting to rest, waking up, bathing, dressing, cleaning the altar, and making food offerings.

The New Dvaraka Deities, Sri Rukmini-Dvarakadisa, Jagannatha, Baladeva, Subhadra, and Gaura-Nitai are served by more than 20 pujaris some of whom are shown here:
